The Rs Images Restoration of Cbers-2 Based on Atmospheric Mtf Evaluation Using Meteorological Data

چکیده
Atmospheric MTF(Modulation Transfer Function) takes a critical role in restoration of atmospheric blurred RS(Remote Sensing) images. This MTF can be determined by meteorological data. Among the existing deblurring methods of RS images, the meteorological data is not used in estimation of atmospheric MTF. For CBERS-02(China and Brazil Earth Resource Satellite) RS image data, a new deblurring algorithm is proposed. In this new method, both turbulence and aerosol MTFs are predicted via meteorological parameter measured at weather station on the time when and in the region where the RS image were recorded. The product of these two MTFs is used as the total atmospheric MTF which is combined with Wiener filter. Using the developed algorithm, turbulence blur, aerosol blur and path radiance contrast inconsistent are all corrected simultaneously. The area under MTF curve of restored image is apparent larger than one of original image. Experimental results with CBERS-02 RS images prove that the algorithm works well on restoration of atmospheric degraded images. * Corresponding author.

Landsat TM Satellite Image Restoration Using Kalman Filters
The quality of satellite images propagating through the atmosphere is affected by phenomena such as scattering and absorption of light, and turbulence, which degrade the image by blurring it and reducing its contrast. The atmospheric Wiener filter, which corrects for turbulence blur, aerosol blur, and path radiance simultaneously, is implemented in the digital restoration of Landsat Thematic Ma...

Although turbulence is usually considered to be the primary cause of image blur, simultaneous and independent measurements of overall atmospheric modulation transfer function (MTF) and turbulence MTF over fairly long horizontal paths at 15-m average elevation indicate that, even at midday, aerosol MTF deriving from forward scatter is usually more dominant than turbulence MTF. Three different ex...

The Advanced Microwave Sounding Unit-B (AMSU-B) installed on the NOAA-15, 16, and 17 satellites, is the new generation of a series of microwave imagers/sounders that can sense atmospheric moisture and other hydrometeors through clouds. This paper demonstrates the potential of multi-frequency AMSU-B data for classifying different types of hydrometeors. Ten types of these hydrometers have been co...

In POCS image restoration we consider the case where the prototype images are obtained from the observed image via a predetermined operator, which is the Modified Inverse Filter. A POCS algorithm using the proposed constraints and the limited amplitude constraint is applied to monochrome CBERS-2 satellite band 2 images.
